Spanish Instructor
Silvia Ranson
Originally from Argentina, where I worked for fifteen years as a teacher of English and Spanish as a Second Language with children, youth, and adults, I came to the USA in 2020. Currently, I am finishing a Master’s degree Program in Foreign Languages, Cultures and Literatures as well as giving classes of Spanish as a Second Language to undergraduate students. As part of Maranatha Education Center since 2021, I have enjoyed sharing experiences with my colleagues and empowering my students to develop their language skills in relation to their everyday life´s and work´s goals. I find it important to broaden my students’ horizons, to offer them tools to tackle communication challenges and raise awareness about different cultures. One of my favourite phrases when I think of teaching a second language is: Sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, dream, discover. Written by H. Jackson Brown.
